“If its not handmade… Its not Hendersons!”

Our products are not mass produced but all individually handcrafted, from sustainable timber sources.

From our workshop

Traditional designs, strongly made.

Hendersons is a family run business built on quality, established in 1960. We started out in agricultural and domestic fencing, and over the years moved into making Sheds, Summer Houses, Log Stores, Garden Furniture, Dog Kennels and Hen Houses, plus many other bespoke items.

Today we concentrate on Sheds, Summer Houses and Log Stores. All products are handmade in our workshops from sustainable timber sources. Designs are traditional and strongly made, well able to withstand the rigours of our northern weather. Made from Redwood Timber and assembled with Stainless Steel Screws, Nails and Bolts.

How we build

The details you can’t see in a photo.

A shed is only as good as what holds it together. These are the things that go into every Hendersons building before it leaves our workshop.

Our Story

Acomb Sawmill, since 1960.

Hendersons began in agricultural and domestic fencing. From there the workshop at Acomb Sawmill moved into garden buildings, and today we concentrate on sheds, summer houses and log stores.

We’re still family run, and still at Acomb, just across the Tyne from Hexham. Every building we make is handmade here, one at a time.
